February 9, 1940 – February 24, 2008
I still can't understand that he's gone. After six years fighting cancer my dad passed away this Sunday. And even though we've known since last May that there was nothing more the doctors could do it's still so hard to take in.
Dad – there so much I want to write you, but right now I can't. I will miss you so much. Love you, Dad!
Finally our new kitchen is ready After two weeks with handy men, lectricians and painters running around in the apartment and eating take-out every day we can finally sit down and look out over the new cabinets. Yippie!
After a stop during the weekend most of the cabinet instalment is now done.The electrician is fixing the electricity for the stove and plate tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to cook something for the first time for almost a week. Then it's just the painters doing their job left before it's ready.
When we moved here the kitchen was a mess. We rent, and we got the promise by our landlord to get it fixed. So we didn't do anything, since the "kitchen fixing day" was coming any day. It didn't. So finally, after 1,5 years, today they started to tear down the cabinets today. And found some really nice tile that had been painted over sometime in the 80s. Such a pity.
They've been quick so far and half the floor is already in place after just one day. I'm so happy - finally I'll be able to cook on a stove that isn't in height of my knees.

As we went about to our summerhouse on the Swedish National Holiday Day, we were greeted by high hipppie grass. We had to ciut it down. Here are some before/after shots:

Around 25 years ago.
Today we went to see Elliott, and about a 100 other pre-schoolers, in a nearby church perform some cute songs they have rehearsed the whole semester. It was really cute and their take on Old Ludwig Van's Symphony No.9, naming all the months of the year, was a heartbreaker.
After the first song we noticed something Elliott was doing, but it wasn't until the second song it stood clear. After each song our son streched up his arm in the air, and shaped his fingers into a sign, but not any sign, it was the – THE DEVIL SIGN!
Afterward I asked him about the sign was, and he replied – "I did Rock'n Roll!"
