Fan vilket lågvattenmärke, inte bara sätter de in en stor artikel om en hund som dött. Man kan också diskutera sin saknad.
Endast i Expressen.
A bit short on news? Not only do they put in a whole page about a dog. You can also discuss your loss on a thread: " Do you miss Eddie- the dog from Frasier - he was such a free spirit".
Sick! Sick! Sick!
Late yesterday we got our latest IKEA delivery (well not all we ordered since there was a missunderstanding, but hopefully those things will be with us next Tuesday) so this morning I left the kids at day care, came back, had a quick breakfast, and started to mount together the shelving system called "Expedit" (loosly translated= sales clerk). This was kind of easy until after section #17. When the pieces just wouldn't fit. I could blame a little on the not so plain floor, but I mostly choose to blame IKEA. In the old days it was usually plugs, screws, or something else missing that was the problem. These days it's the fact that the pieces just doesn't fit, not without brutal force, which ends up in damaged goods.
After mounting and dimounting the shelfs five times, after five domestic disturbances (containing hammers almost thrown in each others heads), after seven screams of agony out the window, we finally got the Expedit together. Just in time to pick up the kids.
Another working day wasted! Ad now it stands there next to the other one, grining!
Ok , so now the entrance hallway is finished – well at least the painting is.
As you can see in the image the first part has a dark brown colour named "PepperSpice". The more neutral part goes in a small tone of pastel green. it's all very 50's.
I started doing the base painting 3 days ago, then the morning after I started with the colour we had picked. It was a light grey with some red. We thought it would look good with the brown. But after painting the wall the first time, it didn't come out gray at all, it was all PINK. Maybe we should've figured this when the name of the colour was "Romance".
So it was quickly back to the store and picking a new colour which was much nicer. Then yesterday I did all the the brown parts, including the radiator.
I will never in my life paint another radiator, never, never, never, never. It took 4 hours with the heavy smell of not-good-for-you-brain paint.
Here's a before(former tenant) and after image:
Well now it's finished. Now it's just the other hall, the kitchen, Hanna's room, Rebecca's room and our bedroom left. Yooo-Hoop!
Sweden just won over Paraguay (1-0) in the Worldcup. At lot of people think it's fun to celebrate this.
The way to celebrate it seems to be driving back and forth shouting "Sveeeeerige!, honking the horn and waving a swedish flag. This has been going on for about 2 hours now, and it's sloowwly getting better.
Finally we're in the new apartement, and we have some internet connection. These last 7 days have been hectic, but fun. My back is hurting like mad from carring aroudn heavy card board boxes.
The whole move took 15 hours ( we moved 3 blocks), mostly due to all my books and magazines.
We've painted the office, and teh boys room. Now it's juts the hallway, thethe entrence, our bedroom, Hannas room and Rebeccas room left to paint. then it's on to get a renovated kitchen, and the fixing the bathroom. One day we will sleep...
